Arrival route
From Locarno take bus 315 (Cavergno/Vallemaggia) to Cevio, Boscioli. From there it is about 15-20 minutes on foot to Boschetto: In Cevio, at the turnoff to Bosco Gurin and the church of Rovana, turn left over the narrow bridge, past the quarry to Boschetto.
By car from Locarno towards Losone and Vallemaggia, in Cevio follow the signs for "Bosco Gurin" and drive through Cevio. In the district of "Rovana" turn left by the church over the narrow bridge to Boschetto. The parking spaces are right at the entrance to the town.
About us
We love historic buildings and want to preserve a part of history with this house and save it from decay. It is important to us that new life comes into this house and we want to give holiday guests the opportunity to live here and experience the historic walls. We are Fränzi, Peter, Nino and Jonas and we all contributed with wishes, in the planning and in the construction. Cà Lüina is a work that we implemented together with friends, two great architects and various local craftsmen.
How many people can Cà Lüina accommodate?
Compared to many other rustic apartments, the Cà Lüina offers three separate bedrooms, a kitchen, and a large living room, ideal for 6-8 people. With three king-size beds, two single beds, and two daybeds on the soppalco, a total of ten sleeping options are available. The optimal occupancy of the apartment is 6-8 people: When used by 6-8 people, it provides the necessary privacy and ample living space in the kitchen, living room, and terrace. For a stay of one week, 6-8 people can enjoy very reasonable accommodation costs while enjoying a high level of comfort.
Due to the simple construction of the historic house, soundproofing between rooms is limited. Historic houses are therefore particularly suitable for considerate and tolerant guests.
Is Cà Lüina suitable for family holidays?
Cà Lüina is ideal for families and groups of 6-8 people. There are plenty of rooms throughout the house and, compared to other rustic farmhouses, the rooms are spacious. The house is particularly suited to guests seeking peace, nature, and a pristine environment. Despite its simplicity, the house offers modern amenities, comfort, and pleasant common areas. For active and adventurous guests, Cà Lüina is particularly well-suited as a base for excursions, climbing, hiking, swimming in rivers and streams, canyoning, and more. Cevio also offers cultural activities and restaurants.
The parking lot is only about 100 meters from the house. Please note, however, that some of the access routes are narrow and include steep stairs and paths, which may be difficult for people with limited mobility. The historic houses also have uneven floors and old stone staircases, requiring a certain amount of attention. This should be taken into account when using the property with small children.
